For single-side lapping machines, the diamond dresser can be configured according to the machine’s plate and gear system to condition the working surface of the lapping plate.
For double-side lapping, the dresser configuration needs to account for the machine’s upper and lower plate arrangement, gear system and available plate clearance.
The dresser is used to recondition the working surface of the lapping plate when the plate condition changes during production.
Suitable dresser selection helps maintain the working condition of the lapping plate for applications where stable material removal and consistent surface processing are required.
